Configure Terminal Server Settings
The following describes the Terminal Server Ports parameter for serial ports. This setting only affects serial ports where the Port Function is set to Terminal Server.
Use this field to specify how long the SCADAPack x70 device will retain the TCP connection while data is not being transmitted or received through the virtual serial port.The default is 250 milliseconds.
Enter the required interval in the OPC Time Format. You can enter the value directly in the field, or use the Interval window (accessed via the field's browse button) to specify the required value.
If the TCP Port connection is lost/dropped, a SCADAPack x70 device cannot re-establish the connection back to the TCP host when it receives data on the serial port. The connection has to be re-established by the TCP host. Until the connection is re-established, data received on the serial port is discarded (data is not buffered).
