Configure the Partners Settings of a Server
The Server Configuration Tool has a Partners section that you use to define the server architecture of your system.
The Partners section contains:
- Server label— Use to define a unique Server Label to identify the server. On a new server, the Server Label defaults to the NetBIOS name of the machine on which server is installed, however you can replace this name with a more meaningful label if required.
- Type—Use to define the type of architecture or server that you are configuring (see Type).
- Standby tab—Use to define the Main and Standby server connection settings (see Standby Tab)
- Permanent Standby tab—Use to define the connection settings for Permanent Standby servers (see Permanent Standby Tab)
- Miscellaneous tab—Use to define the Transfer Interval, Action on Isolated, Arbitration Priority, Heartbeat Timeout, Historic Modified Life, Historic Annotation Life, and Main Server Deadlock Detection settings as required (see Miscellaneous Tab).
