Query Processor Status Information
The Server Status Tool provides status information that is organized into groups of categories, each of which contains sub-categories. The Query Processor group provides status information about the SQL searches made on clients that are connected to the server on which you are working. The Query Processor group contains the following sub-categories:
- Latest Queries—shows a list of the most recent queries
- Largest Queries—shows a list of the queries that generated the largest resultsets
- Longest Queries—shows a list of the queries that took the longest amount of time to complete.
The list of queries shown within the three categories are regularly refreshed, however, they will continue to list the largest or longest queries even if they have not occurred recently. If you are trying to observe the effect of more recent queries that are smaller or quicker you may need to reset the status page counters.
When a server status snapshot occurs, by default the server status counters are not reset. You can change a registry setting in order for a snapshot to reset the counters each time it occurs, see Using a Registry Editor to Change to Change Server Log File Settings.
