A SCADAPack E outstation automatically generates a config.log file whenever the configuration of the outstation is regenerated (for example during a Config Restart or Cold Reset). Geo SCADA Expert uploads the log file from the outstation and checks it for download errors. Any errors found are logged in the Event Journal.
Geo SCADA Expert adds the log file to the list of files that is displayed in the Configuration Setup Window for that outstation. The file is updated whenever a manual or automatic download occurs on the outstation.
In addition to checking the entries in the Event Journal, you can view the raw log file to diagnose download problems. The rest of this section shows the type of information that a config.log file might show following Successful Configuration Download, and if there is an Unknown Entry in Configuration.
