Create a DNP3 SCADAPack Analog Output Point
When you create the analog output point, most of the configuration fields can be left at their default values.
On the Analog Point tab, the only fields you need to change for this tutorial are:
- In Service—Ensure that the check box is selected so that it displays a check mark.
- Outstation—Specify the DNP3 SCADAPack E Direct Outstation created above.
- Point Number—Set to 4.
- Point Data Class—Set to Class 0 Static Only.
- DNP Object Type—Set to Short Floating Point Analog Output Status (g40v3).
- Historic Data Filter—(This field is within the Logged Data section, toward the bottom of the Analog Point tab.) Set to Static and Event Data.
On the Control tab you will need to set the following:
- Control Object—Set to Single-precision float (g41v3).
- Update Point on successful action—Ensure that the check box is selected so that it displays a check mark.
- Restore Output—Ensure that the check box is selected so that it displays a check mark.
On the Historic tab you will need to set:
- Enabled—Ensure that the check box is selected so that it displays a check mark.
