The Browse permission defines whether the user or User Group can:
- Access the Display References window, to view a list of the database items that either reference, or are referenced by, the currently selected database item.
- View the selected database item in the various navigation Explorer Bars (Database Bar, OPC Data Bar, and so on).
Availability: Is available to any User or User Group with Security permission for the selected item. The Browse permission cannot be restricted (you can only stop Users and User Groups from accessing the browse settings by denying them the Browse permission for database items on a per item basis).
Users can view a database item in the navigation explorer bars only if the Browse permission is enabled for the item and all of its parent Groups, including the Root Group.
