Much of the driver-specific configuration on simple drivers is undertaken using a series of configuration Forms. These Forms have a series of ‘tabs’ or ‘pages’ on which you specify different aspects of configuration.
The Forms often have a combination of these tabs, which are common to many configuration Forms:
- Identification—Use to optionally define a Help View and to indicate whether the item is to be excluded from any Exclusive Control activity (see Defining Identification Details in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).

Location—Use to specify the item's geographical coordinates. (You need only configure the properties on this tab if your system uses Geo SCADA Expert's Geographical Location features.)
- User Methods—Use to define any custom pick actions (‘methods’) for the item (see Using the User Methods Tab to Define Custom Actions in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Alarm—Use to define optional features associated with alarms for the item (see Defining an Item or Group’s Alarm Properties in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Redirection—Use to define any alarm redirections for the item (see Configure Alarm Redirections for an Item or Group in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Alarm Redirection).
In addition, the Forms include one or more tabs for specifying item- or driver-specific configuration.
