When you create the outstation set, you can leave most of the fields at their default values. The only fields that you need to change for this tutorial are:
- In Service—Located on the Outstation Set tab. Select this check box so that it displays a check mark.
- Channel—Located on the Outstation Set tab. Specify the EtherNet/IP Direct Channel that you created earlier in this tutorial.

Once you have configured the outstation set, you can proceed to Create an EtherNet/IP Direct Outstation.
