Create an EtherNet/IP Analog Point
This analog point is set up to control the plant and also to monitor value changes. When you create the analog point, you can leave most of the configuration fields at their default values.
On the Analog Point tab, the only fields that you need to change for this tutorial are:
- In Service—Select this check box so that it displays a check mark.
- Outstation —Specify the EtherNet/IP Direct Outstation that you created earlier in this tutorial.
- Tag Name —Specify the name of the tag that exists in the controller. Alternatively, you can use the browse option to view and select from the available tags. If there are no tags available, you need to use the appropriate third-party software to create the tags in the controller.
On the Control tab, you need to set:
- Enabled—Select this check box so that it displays a check mark.
On the Historic tab, you need to set:
- Enabled—Select this check box so that it displays a check mark.
For further information on configuring an EtherNet/IP Analog Point, see Configure Analog Points.
Once you have configured the analog point, you can proceed to Create a Mimic.
