Download Configuration to the SCADAPack 575 Device

Once you have created and configured the database items that are required for this tutorial, you need to download the SCADAPack-related configuration to the SCADAPack 575 unit. This will populate the device's firmware with the settings that you have configured in Geo SCADA Expert.

To download the configuration:

1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
2. Expand the entries in the Database Bar's hierarchical tree structure if required.
3. Locate and right-click on the entry for the SCADAPack x70 DNP3 Direct Outstation that you created earlier in this tutorial.
   A context-sensitive menu is displayed.
4. Select the Download Configuration option.
   The settings that you specified on the Device Configuration and Analog Configuration items are downloaded to the SCADAPack 575 unit.

   The settings that are on the protocol-specific Outstation and Point database items are not downloaded to the device. The settings on these database items are specific to Geo SCADA Expert. They define the protocol that Geo SCADA Expert uses to communicate with the SCADAPack 575 device, and how Geo SCADA Expert is to process the data that it retrieves from that device.
   

Once the download has completed, you can proceed to Control the Analog Output Point.
