Troubleshooting Historic Data Export Operation
The topics in this section provide information to help you monitor and diagnose the operation of the AVEVA Historic Data Export driver. For more information, see the topics that are listed in the gray footer section at the bottom of this topic. Select the relevant entry to display the topic that you require.
You can perform the following checks:
- Check the status of the connection between Geo SCADA Expert and the historian. Use the ArchestrA System Management Console on the historian server. Look in the Clients section of Historian Management Console. Geo SCADA Expert will appear as a client with an application name of DBServer.exe when Geo SCADA Expert is connected to the historian server.
- Check which tags HCAL has created in the historian in the AVEVA application. These tags will always be analog tags (even for digital and counter points). Use the ArchestrA System Management Console on the historian server. Look in the Analog Tags section of the Historian Configuration Editor.
- Check the Log Viewer on the main Geo SCADA Expert server. The Log Viewer is installed at the same time as the AVEVA Historic Data Export driver on the Geo SCADA Expert servers. You can access it from the Start menu in Windows®. See AVEVA\System Management Platform Console\Log Viewer. The log shows what HCAL has done.
For more information, see the information about the historian in the documentation supplied with the relevant AVEVA application.
