SCL

System Configuration description Language (SCL), formerly known as Substation Configuration description Language, is the language and representation format that is specified by the IEC 61850 standard for the configuration of electrical substation devices.

SCL file is used to describe the configuration of IEDs in the substation and how they communicate with each other. You create an SCL File database item to import a file containing SCL data and to create and validate the IEC 61850 items created in the database.
