Geographic Regions

A geographic region is an area that you can define on a map to enclose or group a set of related items. You can associate a region with a User, Users or User Group, which allows you to, for example, redirect alarms to the user responsible for a region (see Assign Regions of Responsibility).

There are three types of region items that you can create in Geo SCADA Expert:

Circle

Rectangular

Polygon

Using these three types of region you can create:

• multiple region items using any combination of the three types
• overlapping regions
• regions that exist within other regions.

You can include polygon regions on maps.
