Configuring Analog Points

NTP Monitor Scanners support analog input points.

You need to configure one analog point in the Geo SCADA Expert database for each point that monitors analog-type data on an NTP device.

You might, for instance, use an analog point to monitor an NTP server’s stratum (see Understanding NTP Stratum Ranking and how this Affects Clock Accuracy). (To monitor the stratum, you would configure the point to retrieve the device’s System.stratum tag.)

Configure an analog point’s properties using the fields on the NTP Monitor Analog Point Form.

The Form has several tabs.

The fields on the Analog Point tab are common to analog points on many drivers (see Defining Analog Point Details in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration).

Use the fields on the NTP Monitor tab to Configure the NTP Monitor Point Properties.

For information on the fields on other tabs, see Tabs on Point Forms in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Simple Drivers.
