HDA Items

The Server Status Tool provides status information that is organized into categories. The OPC branch of the Server Status Tool includes an HDA Items category.

The HDA Items category provides status information about each item. This item might be either a trace on a Historic Trend in ViewX, or an item created by a third-party OPC HDA client.

The status information for each item is categorized as:

• Link—This identifies the server link and OPC HDA client to which the item belongs (see Server Links).
• Id—The identity number that has been allocated to the item by the OPC HDA server. The OPC HDA server is built into the Geo SCADA Expert server.
• Client—The number of the client handle that is allocated by the OPC HDA client.
• Name—The full name of the database item from which the historic data originates.
• Aggregate—The name of the database aggregate that generates the historic values. For example, the aggregate could be:
  • Historic—The database aggregate that generates the historic data for points and accumulators.
  • History—The database aggregate that generates the historic data for time profiles.
  • Forecasts—The database aggregate that generates the historic data for Forecasts.

  Alternatively, the entry could be an aggregate created specifically for a driver, such as High2ProfileHistoric (which is an aggregate for the SCADAPack E analog points high limit 2 profile).

You can use the HDA Items status information to view the historic data items that are currently being accessed by the OPC HDA clients that are connected to the server.
