Independent Connections

ClearSCADA allows you to use each network connection independently, which allows concurrent communication to send and receive data with multiple outstations, (see Scanning Process). The key points to consider when using the independent connections feature in ClearSCADA are:

When you use independent connections, ClearSCADA can poll or interrogate multiple outstations on the network without waiting for the collection of data from each outstation in sequence.

Requests sent to outstations are currently processed sequentially and each request is dependent on the completion of the previous request.
