Understand the Crystal Reports Work Areas

The basic work areas in the Crystal Report application are as follows:

You can include multiple headers and footers in a report—for example, a left page footer and a right page footer. See the documentation supplied with the Crystal Reports application for details.

You can also optionally include one or more Group headers and footers—one for each Group Name Field that you use to group the data in your report.

If you are going to export a report in one of the programmatic formats, such as Separated Value format, only include content in data fields. The export process for programmatic formats treats fields as records and will export multiple copies of any headers, footers, field titles, and so on.
