Use the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool to Specify the Common Driver Settings

ClearSCADA is supplied with a set of defaults, which determine the way in which the system functions, and the way in which data is processed and displayed. This includes various settings that affect the drivers that you install on your system. Some of these settings affect multiple drivers, whereas other settings are driver-specific. If required, many of these settings can be changed from the defaults.

Settings that affect more than one driver should be specified on each server when
a ClearSCADA system is first installed. This section summarizes the driver-related server settings that apply to multiple drivers. The settings are configured using the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool. For information on using the tool, see Working with the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool in the ClearSCADA Guide to Server Administration.

You can use the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool to specify:

In addition to the above, several drivers have driver-specific server settings. You configure these settings on the relevant <Driver Name> section. Each of the <Driver Name> sections are located within the Global Parameters branch of the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool. Not all drivers have server settings that are driver-specific—the relevant driver guide will summarize any settings that do exist.
