ATAN (Inverse Tangent)

The ATAN function is a mathematical function that returns the inverse Tangent (radians) of a number. The ATAN function returns a real value.

Description

Returns the inverse Tangent (radians) of a number.

Arguments

ATAN(INTEGER or REAL)

The ATAN function can have one input and this can be either an integer or a real floating value—see Number (Integer or Real).

Returns

REAL

The inverse Tangent (radians) value of the input.

Example:

ATAN(1)

The output is 0.785
