Unacknowledge with Comment

This option is disabled on most systems by default. (Its permission is typically denied on a per server basis.)

Associated with: Any item that has acknowledged uncleared alarm(s)

Security permission required to access this option: Unacknowledge Alarms

If available on your system, you can use this option on the Object Menu to unacknowledge an alarm that is currently acknowledged. The option allows you to enter a brief text description as to why the alarm is being returned to the unacknowledged state (see Unacknowledge an Alarm with Comment).

Select the option on an individual item, such as a point, to unacknowledge any acknowledged alarms on that item.

Select the option on a Group or Group Instance to unacknowledge any acknowledged alarms on the items in that Group or Group Instance (including in any subgroups within that Group or Group Instance).

If using this pick action with the Automation Interface, you need to specify the method name UnacceptAlarmWithComment.
