Create a DNP3 Direct Outstation Set

Add a DNP3 Direct Outstation Set to the database. You select the database item from the DNP3 branch of the Create New menu. This branch comprises that of the 'parent' driver (the driver that corresponds to the communications protocol that Geo SCADA Expert will use to communicate with the SCADAPack 575).

When you create the outstation set, you can leave most of the configuration fields at their default values. The only fields that you need to change for this tutorial are:

• Channel—This property is located on the Outstation Set tab of the configuration Form. Specify the DNP3 Direct Channel that you created earlier in this tutorial.
• DNP3 Local Address—This property is located on the DNP3 tab. Set this to 30000.
• In Service—This property is located on the Outstation Set tab. Select this check box so that it displays a check mark.

Once you have configured the outstation set, you can proceed to Create a Device Configuration Item.
