Use Advanced EWS String Points to map text strings on Advanced EWS servers into Geo SCADA Expert.
Configure the properties of each String point using the fields on the Advanced EWS String Point Form.
This section covers configuration of the string-specific properties on the String Point tab of the Form.
Use the String Point tab to:
- Configure Common Point Properties
- Specify the Format Settings, (see Format Settings in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Point Configuration).
- If the point is an output string point (a point that is being used to set string values), configure the fields in the Set Value section:
- Select the Enable Set Value check box, (Ensure that the check box is clear if the string is an input point).
- Use the Confirm Set Value combo box to define whether a confirmation dialog box is displayed whenever an operator attempts to send a control (see Requesting Confirmation of Action Requests in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
