Advanced OPC Points read and/or write to items on OPC DA servers. You need to map the items on each OPC DA server to suitable Advanced OPC Points within the Geo SCADA Expert database. This enables Geo SCADA Expert to perform the relevant processing handle the data in a similar way to other point data on the system (for instance, monitor state changes, raise alarms, or execute controls).
The Advanced OPC Driver supports the point types that are listed below. You configure the points using the properties on the relevant Advanced OPC Point Form.

The Advanced OPC Driver supports the controlling of points. Advanced OPC points include a Control tab, which allows you to enable and configure how points are controlled.
