Specify the Controller Address

On radio networks on which multiple diagnostics software applications are active, each diagnostics application has to be assigned a different controller address.

Use the Controller Address field on the Trio Diagnostics Advanced tab to identify the controller address of the diagnostics software application for which the channel used by this radio set provides communications.

Leave at the default of 1 if Geo SCADA Expertis the only diagnostics software application in use on the radio network, and either:

Or:

If multiple diagnostics software applications are active on your radio network, use the Controller Address field to specify the address that identifies Geo SCADA Expert as the diagnostics application that is interrogating the radios via the channel used by this radio set. Specify the required controller address in the range 1 to 999 inclusive. The address is included in the messages transmitted via the channel.

If Geo SCADA Expert is to receive and process auto-diagnostics messages (unsolicited messages sent by the radios), ensure that the Controller Address matches the TVIEW_Controller Destination Address that is set in the radios' Diagnostics Options. If the two addresses differ, Geo SCADA Expert will discard any auto-diagnostics messages that it receives from the radios.
