This section gives three typical scenarios in which DNP3 devices could be used with
a Geo SCADA Expert system. These scenarios are designed to act as a guide when configuring your own Geo SCADA Expert system to communicate with DNP3 devices—they are not designed to document the many possible scenarios in which DNP3 may be used.
Scenarios in which you would use a DNP3 driver include:
- Geo SCADA Expert as a DNP3 Master Communicating with DNP3 Outstations
- Third-Party Master Communicating with a Geo SCADA Expert DNP3 Slave
- Geo SCADA Expert Configured as a DNP3 Master and DNP3 Slave.
