Recommended Settings for Scan Durations

The recommended settings for some of the scan durations vary according to the number of outstations that are associated with the selected direct channel. This section provides the recommended settings for typical system setups (that is, channels associated with 1, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 250 outstations). The settings apply to Kingfisher outstations other than PSTN and Remote outstations, whenever the driver is set to poll the outstations on the channel continuously (that is, each individual outstation’s Polling Interval is set to 0 (zero)).

(With Remote outstations, Geo SCADA Expert retrieves the Master outstation’s copy of each Remote outstation’s data when it scans the Master outstation (see Master and Remote Outstations). Scanning of PSTN outstations differs to that of Direct and Shared outstations (see Retrieving Data from PSTN Outstations in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Advanced Drivers).
