Use the Address field on the Lufkin SAMS tab to specify the address of the Lufkin SAMS controller. The address has to be unique on the system.
Specify a suitable address in the range 1 to 2295.
Addresses in the range 248 to 2295 use the Lufkin extended Modbus addressing scheme. This range provides additional functionality to the standard Modbus addressing scheme, such as enabling the Lufkin SAMS driver to request larger register ranges (see Configuring Lufkin SAMS Server Settings).
Modbus uses address 0 for broadcasting, therefore this address cannot be used as a Lufkin SAMS controller address.
