Configuring Digital Points

The Simple Modbus driver supports Digital Input and Digital Output points.

Digital points can be physical points that exist on Modbus PLCs, or calculated states that reside within Modbus registers.

Configure the properties for each digital point using the fields on the Simple Modbus Digital Point Form.

This section covers configuration of properties on the Modbus tab of the Form (see Configure the Modbus Point Properties).

For information on the fields on the Digital Point tab, see Defining Digital Point Details in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration.

For information on the fields on other tabs, see Tabs on Point Forms in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Simple Drivers.

For examples showing how to configure digital points to fulfill Modbus scanning requirements, see Configuration Examples.
