Configure the SCADAPack 50 Device SMS Message Encoding
Perform this procedure after you Configure a Test SCADAPack 50 Device Point.
Use the information in this topic together with the device documentation.
Follow this procedure to configure the device SMS message encoding:
- In the Kervisu Menu Bar, select the NETWORK-SMS option.
The NETWORK-SMS screen is displayed.
- Set the following properties (leave the other properties at their default settings):
- SMS sent in binary mode—From the combo box, select Recipient#1. Recipient#1 refers to the (1)Phone number that you set on the Global Parameters screen.
This entry specifies that the SMS messages sent to the Geo SCADA Expert GSM modem (Recipient#1) will be encoded as 8-bit data (that is, encoded in binary format).
- SMS sent in binary mode—From the combo box, select Recipient#1. Recipient#1 refers to the (1)Phone number that you set on the Global Parameters screen.
You have completed a working configuration of the data logger.
Now follow these steps:
- Disconnect your computer from the device.
- Disconnect Kervisu. To do this, click on the Disconnect icon.
Proceed to Create a SCADAPack 50 Test Database.
