Use the Outstation Name field on the SCADAPack 50 tab to specify a device name. Geo SCADA Expert can potentially receive messages from many devices. The Telephone Number and Outstation Name together identify to Geo SCADA Expert which device this is (see Specify an Outstation Telephone Number).
- Outstation Name—Specify the device name.
We recommend that you use a short name, so that it requires less space in the SMS message. Potentially, this could mean that the device sends fewer SMS messages and this could increase battery life.
ATTENTION: The Outstation Name corresponds to the Device Identifier on the device.
