View the Outstation Status

Perform this procedure after you Configure a Test SCADAPack 50 Outstation and Outstation Set.

To view the status of the outstation, follow this procedure:

1. In the Database Bar, right-click on the SCADAPack 50 Test.Outstation database item.

   A context-sensitive menu is displayed.

2. Select the View Status menu option.

   The Status window is displayed.

   Look at the following status attribute:

   • Device Point Mapping—You can see that the device point V1 is mapped to the SCADAPack 50 Test.Digital Point that you created and configured.

     Because Geo SCADA Expert has not yet communicated with the device, Geo SCADA Expert displays no device diagnostic information in the Status window.

     

You have now completed a working configuration of:

• The SCADAPack 50 device by using Kervisu
• The Geo SCADA Expert SCADAPack 50 database items that represent the device and communications with the device.

The next stages are to enable the device to send SMS messages and then to test the configuration.
