Point State Properties

Use the fields in the States section of the Digital Point tab to define state-related information for the point, such as the handling of state-related alarms by the controller.

Most of the fields within the States section are common to many digital points.

The Number of Bits, defined toward the top of the Form (see Common Point Properties), determines the number of state fields that are available for use.

For further information on configuring state fields, see Define the Point States for a Digital Point in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration.

The 'Persistence Type' property is also supported by digital points on the driver's 'parent' Advanced Modbus driver. For more information, see Use Persistence to Stop Fleeting Changes in Value from Changing a Point State in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to the Advanced Modbus Driver.
