Historical Data Logging
On a TBox RTU data can be logged historically using:
- Chronologies, which can be associated with either Digital or Analog Points
- Sampling Tables, which are associated only with Analog Points, and are handled in Geo SCADA Expert using special Historical Analog Points.
For more information and the procedures for configuring these in Geo SCADA Expert, see Chronologies and see Sampling Tables.
A TBox Historical Analog Point is a point that is used to access a Sampling Table on a TBox RTU. A TBox Historical Analog Point has to have a parent Analog Input Point or Analog Output Point on the same outstation. The parent point corresponds to the tag on the RTU with the data to be retrieved. You need to configure the parent Analog Input Point or Analog Output Point before you can configure the Historical Analog Point.
To configure a Historical Analog Point, see Configuring TBox Historical Analog Points.
