File Restrictions
The files that you download to a SCADAPack E outstation have to comply with the following conventions. Where a file name needs adjusting to conform to these requirements, you can do this by renaming the file (see Specify the Properties of a File in a SCADAPack E Outstation’s Configuration), rather than renaming the original copy of the file.
If a file does not comply with these limitations or displays any invalid characters, the OK button on the Properties window will appear ‘grayed out’ and unavailable for use.
- Each file has to have a unique name.
- The total file name, including file extension, has to be no longer than 20 characters.
- The name must not include any character spaces (you can use underscores to separate characters if you wish).
- When adding an IEC 61131-3 (*.X8M) file, you must name the file either ISa11 or ISa21 and remove the .X8M file extension.
- You can add only one RTU Configuration File with a Concatenation Type of Beginning.
- You can add only one RTU Configuration File with a Concatenation Type of End.
