Configure the Basic Flow Run Properties
Use the fields at the top of the Flow Run tab on the Flow Run Form to specify these properties:
- In Service—Use this check box to specify whether the Flow Run is active or inactive (see Placing an Item In Service in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Outstation—Use to specify the controller with which the Flow Run is associated. This is the Realflo controller that is running the Realflo interface to the Flow Computer.
Use the browse button to display a Reference browse window. Select the required Realflo controller from the window.
- Flow Run Number—Use the spin box to specify the number of this Flow Run.
The number of runs that a Flow Computer can support depends on the type of SCADAPack controller that is being used to run the Flow computer, and the Realflo license agreement.
- Severity—Use this combo box to define the priority of any alarms or events that Geo SCADA Expert raises locally for the Flow Run (see Defining Severities in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Event Severity—Use this combo box to specify the severity of any Event Logs that Geo SCADA Expert retrieves for the Flow Run. Geo SCADA Expert adds the retrieved Event Log entries to the Event Journal, using the severity specified in this field.
Be aware that the generation of some Flow Run events is user-configurable. For example, an engineer can use the Realflo application to specify whether a Gas Flow Computer is to log events associated with:
- A Flow Run’s Low Flow (see Input Properties)
- Changes in the configuration of a Flow Run’s compressibility calculation (see General NX-19 Calculation Properties, or see General AGA-8 Calculation Properties, as applicable).
- Alarm Severity—Use this combo box to specify the severity of any Alarm Logs that Geo SCADA Expert retrieves for the Flow Run. The server raises the retrieved alarms in Geo SCADA Expert, using the severity specified in this field.
- Area of Interest—If the Area of Interest feature is enabled on your system, an Area of Interest field is displayed on the tab. Use the field to specify the Area of Interest with which any Flow Run alarms and events are associated (see Assign a Different Area of Interest to an Item’s Alarms and Events in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
For more information on the Area of Interest feature, see Restrict Alarm and Event Access to Specific Areas of Interest in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration.
- Confirm—Use this combo box to specify whether a confirmation dialog box is displayed whenever any of these critical action requests are triggered:
