Display the Properties Window for an Object on a Mimic
In addition to the Mimic Properties window that you use to define the default settings for a Mimic, each object that has been added to a Mimic has its own Properties window. Each object-specific Properties window contains properties that are specific to the type of object for which the window is being displayed. You use the window to specify the settings that are required for that particular object. The properties that you define using the Properties window for a particular object override the default settings that are set using the Mimic Properties window.
To display the Properties window for an object on a Mimic:
- Display the required Mimic in Design Mode (see Displaying a Mimic).
- On the Mimic, locate the object for which you want to edit the settings. (For example, you might want to edit the settings of an ellipse on the Mimic.)
- Perform one of the following:
- Double-click on the object.
or:
- Right-click on the object.
A context-sensitive menu is displayed. - Select the Properties option.
or:
- Click on the object.
- Select the Graphics tab on the ViewX ribbon.
- Select the Properties command.
The Properties window for the selected object is displayed. The properties that the window contains vary, depending on the type of object that you selected in step 3.
- Use the Properties window to edit the object's settings as required (see Editing Objects on a Mimic)
You can also display the Properties window for a group of objects on a Mimic see Editing a Group of Mimic Objects.
