Performance Monitoring
You can use performance monitoring to examine how ClearSCADA affects your computer's performance, both in real time and by collecting log data for later analysis. The ability to view resource usage by process helps you to identify potential problems quickly, isolate and shut down resource-intensive processes.
ClearSCADA provides you with two sets of counters to monitor the performance of your computer:
- Windows Performance Monitoring Counters—A set of monitoring counters within the Windows Performance Monitor provided by the operating system. See the following sections for more information:
- ClearSCADA Performance Monitoring Counters—A corresponding set of monitoring counters provided within the OPC Data Bar. See the following sections for more information:
NOTE: You can also monitor various aspects of system performance using the Performance Monitor driver. For more information, see the ClearSCADA Guide to the Performance Monitor Driver

Refer to Working with the OPC Data Bar in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration.
