Specify a Folder for the HCAL Store-and-Forward Cache
HCAL can temporarily store export data in a store-and-forward cache. This is useful if the network connection to Wonderware Historian is intermittent or unavailable. In such a situation, HCAL will store (cache) the export data. When the link becomes available again, HCAL will send the cached data to Wonderware Historian.
You need to specify the folder that HCAL will use for the cache. To do this, first select the Wonderware Historian section in the Global Parameters branch in the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool (see Accessing the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool in the ClearSCADA Guide to Server Administration). Use the Folder field within the Store/Forward section to specify the cache folder.
- Folder—Enter the full pathname of the folder that you want to use as a store-and-forward cache for export data. Use the Browse button to search for and then select a folder. An example pathname might be: C:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA\HCAL Store Forward.
