Security permission required to access this pick action: Disable Points
Use the Disable All Trends pick action to disable the Trend items that are associated with this particular point (see Configuring DNP3 SCADAPack E Trend Sampler Functionality). While Trends are disabled, the outstation ceases to sample the point’s data.
On a PSTN outstation, use this pick action to trigger Geo SCADA Expert to dial out to the outstation, to request that sampling of the point’s data ceases.
Use the Enable All Trends pick action to enable the outstation to start sampling the point’s data again.
An entry is logged in the Event Journal whenever either pick action is used. The message indicates whether Trend sampling has been enabled or disabled.
The point’s Trending Inhibited status attribute indicates whether Trend sampling is currently inhibited.
If using this pick action with the Automation Interface (see DNP3 SCADAPack E Automation Interface Methods), you need to specify the method name DisableTrending.
To disable data sampling on an individual Trend, use that Trend item’s Disable Point pick action.
