Bad Quality Alarm Disabled Outstation Connecting Dial In Disabled Switching Disabled

Priority of Outstation Foreground Colors

This chart indicates which advanced driver outstation status takes precedence over another, and therefore which core system foreground color is assigned to an outstation at any particular time:

As such, if a PSTN outstation:

the outstation’s foreground color will be brown, by default, to indicate that Dial In is disabled on that outstation (unless a driver-specific state applies, which takes priority over the Dial In Disabled state). However, should Geo SCADA Expert dial out to the outstation, the outstation’s color will change to a flashing blue (the Outstation Connecting color) while Geo SCADA Expert establishes communications with that outstation. Once communications is established, the color will revert to the Dial In Disabled color (unless a driver-specific state and color takes priority), while Dial In remains disabled.

On systems on which database items are configured to use Alarm Suppression and the Consequential Alarms Palette is used, the 'In Alarm?' step includes an additional stage. If the outstation has alarms that are suppressed, those alarms will be assigned the Alarm Suppressed or Alarm Suppression Clear Pending color, as appropriate, instead of the Alarm State color.

When alarms are suppressed, they are omitted from alarm displays (such as the Alarm Banner and Alarms Lists), however it is still possible to see the alarms on other displays, such as Mimics. For more information, see The Effects of Alarm Suppression in Geo SCADA Expert.
