Display a Historic List

There are several ways of displaying a Historic List in Geo SCADA Expert.

On a ViewX client or Virtual ViewX client, you can display a Historic List from:

The Database Bar (see Display a List from the Database Bar).
From another display, such as a Mimic or another List (see Display a List from another Display).

In either case, use the Display Historic List menu option or pick action to display the required List. The List will be filtered automatically so that it only shows the historic data for the selected point or accumulator. By default, the entries in the List will be restricted to those values that Geo SCADA Expert has stored as historic data within the last 24 hours (although this default period can be changed on a per-point, and per-accumulator basis).

To display a Historic List on an Original WebX client, either:

Display an appropriately filtered Points List, or Accumulator List (see View and Action Lists on a WebX Client).
Right-click on the Point or Accumulator for which you want to display a Historic List.
A context sensitive menu is displayed.
Select the Display Historic List option.
The Historic List is displayed.

Or:

Display a Mimic on which the relevant Point or Accumulator is included (see View a Mimic on a WebX Client).
Click on the Point or Accumulator.
If the item is configured to display an Object menu, a context sensitive menu is displayed.
Select the Display Historic List option.
The Historic List is displayed.

Or:

Display a Mimic on which the Historic List has been embedded.

On a Hot-Standby system, it is possible for a Geo SCADA Expert client to connect to a Standby server rather than the Main server. Geo SCADA Expert allows a client to connect to a Standby server once the server has synchronized its current data with that of the Main server. This is to allow users to access Geo SCADA Expert as soon as possible during the synchronization process. On a client that is connected to a Standby server, if an attempt is made to view a Historic List while that server is still synchronizing its historic database with the Main server, the List’s background will show a series of question marks (?). Data will be displayed once the synchronization process is complete (this may take some time on systems that have a large amount of historic data).
