Tabs on Configuration Forms
The configuration Forms for Pager items (Pager Services and Pager Channels) contain a combination of common and item-specific tabs.
The common tabs are available on the Forms for many types of database item:
- Identification—Use to define a Help View and to indicate whether the Pager item is to be excluded from any Exclusive Control activity (see Defining Identification Details in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
-
Location—Use to specify the item's geographical coordinates. (You need only configure the properties on this tab if your system uses Geo SCADA Expert's Geographical Location features.)
- User Methods—Use to define any custom pick actions ('methods') for an item (see Using the User Methods Tab to Define Custom Actions in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Alarm—Use to define optional features associated with alarms (see Defining an Item or Group’s Alarm Properties in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Redirection—Use to define any alarm redirections for the item (see Configure Alarm Redirections for an Item or Group in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Alarm Redirection).
The item-specific tabs contain properties that are specific to the Pager Service or Pager Channel:
- Channel—Use to define the physical connection properties (see Configuring a Pager Channel).
- <Pager> Service—Use to define the properties of the protocol to be used (see Configuring a Pager Service). The name of the <Pager> Service tab varies according to the type of Pager Service. For example, the <Pager> Service tab for an SMS Pager Service is named SMS Service.
