Alarm Limits
Associated with: SCADAPack x70 analog and counter Configuration items, protocol-specific analog points and counter points on which alarm limits are currently tuned and/or the Multiple Alarm Limits feature is enabled.
In the SCADAPack x70 driver, the multiple alarm limits are inherited from the group containing the associated Configuration item rather than the group containing the protocol-specific point.
This status attribute is only displayed for points and Configuration items on which:
- One or more alarm limits are currently tuned (see Tune Limits).
- The Multiple Alarm Limits feature is enabled.
and/or
The attribute lists the following:
- The values to which the alarm limits are temporarily tuned.
- The name of the user that was logged onto the workstation when the tuning occurred.
- The date and time that the tuning occurred.
- The current set of alarm limits.
For example, if you set up the seasonal alarm limits, the attribute shows the season, such as 'Summer' or 'Winter'.
If the alarm limits are currently tuned:
You can disable an individual alarm limit on a Configuration item, which is then inherited by the associated protocol-specific point. Disabled alarm limits cannot be tuned. If any alarm limits are tuned on a point or a Configuration item on which other alarm limits are disabled, the Alarm Limits status attribute indicates which of those alarm limits are disabled.
If multiple alarm limits are enabled:
If multiple alarm limits are enabled and the alarm limits are also tuned, tuning takes precedence over multiple alarm limits.
