SCADAPack x70 Configuration Objects List
The Configuration Objects List is specific to the SCADAPack x70 driver - it is only available on systems on which that driver is installed. Like other Queries Lists, you can display the List from the Queries Bar.
The Configuration Objects List provides a summary of the status of the SCADAPack x70 Configuration items to which your User Account and the client provide access. When accessed from a SCADAPack x70 Device Configuration item, the entries in the list are filtered to only show those SCADAPack x70 Configuration items that are associated with that particular SCADAPack x70 Device Configuration item.
As with other Lists, the Configuration Objects List consists of rows and columns. Each row represents an individual SCADAPack x70 Configuration Item and each column contains status information about that particular SCADAPack x70 Configuration item.
The Configuration Objects List contains these columns:
-
Name—The full name of the database item, including its path in the Geo SCADA Expert database.
-
Quality—The quality of the item's data. The entry is identical to that of the Quality attribute on the item's Status display.
-
Source Name—The name of the SCADAPack x70 device that is the source of data for that SCADAPack x70 Configuration item.
-
Source Details—The source details of the data, comprising the location at which the item resides.
The information that is shown in this column varies, depending on the type of SCADAPack x70 database item and its configuration. This can comprise:
- Physical I/O Channel: <I/O Module Name>:<I/O Module Address>, <Channel>
- Physical I/O Status: <I/O Module Name>:<I/O Module Address>, "<Status>"
- Modbus Point Scanner: <Device Name>: <Device Address or Unit Identifier>, <Type>, <Modbus Data Type>, <Modbus Register Address>: <Bit Offset> (if the Modbus Data Type is 'UIntDigital' only).
- DNP3 Remote Device: <Device Name>:<Device Address>, <Type>, <Point Number>
- System Data Mapping: <Name>
- DNP3 Status and Control Object Association: <Device Name>:<Device Address>, <Object Association Name>
- Modbus Status and Control: <Device Name>:<Device Address or Unit Identifier>, <Object Association Name>
The source details for a point mapped to a Modbus Point Scanner might comprise:
ServerDevice1:67,DI,UINT,30071:15
(For a Modbus Server Device that is named 'ServerDevice1' and the device address/unit identifier is 67. The Modbus Scanner Object Type is of Digital Input type and the Modbus Data Type is UINT. The Modbus Register Address is 30071 and the Bit Offset value is 15.)
The source details for a point mapped to a DNP3 Remote Device might comprise:
RemoteDevice1:34,AI,67
(For a DNP3 Remote device that is named 'RemoteDevice1', and the device address is 34. This point is of Analog Input type and the Point Number is 67.)
-
Configuration Object Name—The name of the Configuration Object.
-
Logic Variable Type—The type of Logic Variable used.
-
Monitor Direction Information Object Address (IOA)—The IEC 60870-5 address of the Monitor Direction.
-
Control Direction Information Object Address (IOA)—The IEC 60870-5 address of the Control Direction.
-
Modbus Data Type / Register—The Modbus Data Type and Modbus Register.
-
DNP3 Point Type / Number—The DNP3 Point Type and DNP3 Point Number.
-
Type—The type of database item. For example, 'SCADAPack x70 Analog Configuration' for a database item that stores the SCADAPack x70 configuration for a specific item of analog data.
-
Memory Usage—The approximate amount of system memory that is occupied by the item, specified in bytes.
As with other Lists, you can right-click on an entry in the List to display a context-sensitive menu. From this menu, you can select options to display further information about a SCADAPack x70 Configuration item, or perform various actions. For information about the actions that are specific to this type of database item, see Actions Associated with SCADAPack x70 <Point Type> Configuration Items.
