Suppressing Parent
Associated with: Any item for which an alarm can be raised and on which alarms are currently suppressed
This status display is only included on the Status display while either:
-
Alarm Suppression is currently in force on the database item
-
Alarm Suppression was, but is no longer, in force on the database item, however the alarm suppression's associated Unsuppress Delay is currently in force. This delay runs from when alarm suppression ends.
The Suppressing Parent status attribute indicates the full name (including the path) of the database item that is causing alarms to be suppressed on this database item. When alarms are suppressed they are hidden from alarm displays.
Use this status attribute in conjunction with the Suppression Status attribute (which indicates the suppression status).
Once the database item's alarms are no longer being suppressed, the Suppressing Parent status attribute is omitted from the Status display.
