Suppression Status
Associated with: Any item for which an alarm can be raised, and on which Alarm Suppression is configured
This status attribute indicates whether Alarm Suppression is currently in force on the database item.
The possible states are:
-
Unsuppressed—Alarm suppression is not in force on the database item. Any alarms that currently exist on the database items are not suppressed.
-
Suppressed—Alarm suppression is in force on the database item. As such, any alarms that currently exist on the database item are suppressed (hidden from alarm displays).
-
Clear Pending—Alarm suppression was, but is no longer, in force on the database item. Any alarms that currently exist on the database item are still suppressed due to the Unsuppress Delay being in force. This delay runs from when alarm suppression ends. Once the Unsuppress Delay has expired, any alarms that are still in existence will become unsuppressed (unless the alarm suppression gets re-triggered and causes the alarms to become suppressed again).
Use this status attribute in conjunction with the Suppressing Parent status attribute (to ascertain the name of the database item that triggered the alarm suppression).
