Add a New Value Map

To add a new Value Map or Filtered Value Map to the ClearSCADA database:

1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
2. In the Database Bar, right-click on the Group into which you want to place a Value Map or Filtered Value Map.
   A context-sensitive menu is displayed.
3. Select the Create New option.
   A further menu is displayed.
4. Select the Value Map option.
   A further context sensitive menu is displayed.
5. Select the required Value Map or Filtered Value Map option. Some drivers support more than one type of Value Map—for further information, see Types of Value Map and see the driver-specific documentation.
   The new Value Map or Filtered Value Map is added to the selected Group, and is selected automatically, ready for you to define its name.

You can then optionally configure the Value Map’s Identification properties (see Defining Identification Details), or Edit a Value Map.
