Add a Time Profile

To add a Time Profile to the ClearSCADA database:

1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
2. In the Database Bar, right-click on the System or Group for which you want to add a Time Profile.
   A context sensitive menu is displayed.
3. Select the Create New option.
   A further menu is displayed.
4. Select the Time Profile option.
   A list of the supported types of Time Profile is displayed.
5. Select the option that indicates the type of values that the Time Profile is to contain. Choose from:
   • Double—The Time Profile is to contain a series of IEEE double-precision floating point 64-bit values.
   • Float—The Time Profile is to contain a series of IEEE single-precision floating point 32-bit values.
   • Long—The Time Profile is to contain a series of signed 32-bit values.
   • Unsigned Long—The Time Profile is to contain a series of unsigned 32-bit values.

   A Time Profile of the specified type is added to the root of the System or to the selected Group (depending on your selection in step 2). The Time Profile is selected automatically, ready for you to enter its name.

6. Enter a suitable name for the item (taking into account the ClearSCADA Naming Restrictions).
7. Press the Enter key or select another part of the ViewX interface to confirm the entry.

When you have added a Time Profile, you can Configure the Properties on the Time Profile Form and Edit a Time Profile.
