Add a Wonderware Historian Database Item

You need to add a ClearSCADA Wonderware Historian database item for each Wonderware Historian to which you want to export data.

To add a Wonderware Historian database item:

  1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
  2. In the Database Bar, right-click on the System or Group to which you want to add the new database item.
    A context sensitive menu is displayed.
  3. Select the Create New option.
    A further menu is displayed.
  4. Select the Other option.
    A further menu is displayed.
  5. Select the Wonderware Historian option.
    ClearSCADA adds a Wonderware Historian database item to the root of the System or to the Group you selected (depending on your selection in step 2). ClearSCADA selects the database item automatically, ready for you to enter its name.
  6. Enter a suitable name for the database item, taking into account the ClearSCADA Naming Restrictions.
  7. Press the Enter key or select another part of the ViewX interface to confirm the entry.
