In order to specify the format of the file(s) that are generated, and the location to which those file(s) are exported, you need to configure at least one CFX Export item in the Geo SCADA Expert database. (The actual Flow Run for which you want to export data is specified at the time that the export is requested.)
To add a CFX Export item to your database, right click on the Group or Group Template within which you want to add the item. From the context-sensitive menu that is displayed, select the Create New option, followed by the Other option, and then select CFX Export.
Configure each CFX Export item using the CFX Export Form. The Form has several tabs.
Use the Identification tab to optionally define a Help View and to indicate whether the CFX Export is to be excluded from any Exclusive Control activity (see Defining Identification Details in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
Location—Use to specify the item's geographical coordinates. (You need only configure the properties on this tab if your system uses Geo SCADA Expert's Geographical Location features.)
Use the User Methods tab to define any custom pick actions (‘methods’) for the CFX Export (see Using the User Methods Tab to Define Custom Actions in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
Use the Alarm tab to define optional features associated with CFX Export alarms (see Defining an Item or Group’s Alarm Properties in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
Use the Redirection tab to define any CFX Export alarm redirections (see Configure Alarm Redirections for an Item or Group in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Alarm Redirection).
Use the CFX Export tab to:
- Specify whether the CFX Export is active or inactive (see Placing an Item In Service in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration)
- Specify the Severity of any CFX Export alarms and events (see Defining Severities in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration)
- If the Area of Interest feature is enabled on your system, specify the area of interest associated with any CFX Export alarms and events (see Assign a Different Area of Interest to an Item’s Alarms and Events in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration)
- Specify the Hourly History Properties
- Specify the File Description Information that is Exported
- Specify the Default Path and Output File Naming Convention
- Specify Whether the Inputs used for the Gas Calculations are Live or Static.
Use the Export to CFX pick action to export the following flow measurement data from Geo SCADA Expert in CFX format:
- Gas flow (CFX file format version 5)
- Gas, liquid and water flow (CFX file format version 7.05).
